Estrema Family Prayer Letter-March 2007

The Estrema Family Prayer Letter
(March-April 2007)

Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. (James 5:8)

Dear Prayer Partners,

Just looking ahead to April’s list of events makes us tired. Thank you for your prayers. March was full of activity and blessings. God has been really working as we saw a number of professions of faith in the church this last month! Please pray for Francisco, his wife Alicia, Dario, Carlos and Christian. Praise the Lord that Francisco, a man in his thirties who has been struggling with an addiction habit, came to church seeking help. We were able to explain the hope we have in Christ. Both he and his wife made professions of faith. Right now he is being discipled. There are many obstacles in his life. Please pray for God to give him full victory as he seeks to live for the Lord.

Please pray as we have begun a new ministry in our church to help with the follow-up of these professions of faith. Our goal is to provide one-on-one discipleship with the prayer of them one day joining and being involved in our church. We need your prayers.

On Friday nights, Jorge Lopez and Jeremy are meeting with Dario and Ruben to disciple them. These men are construction workers who made professions of faith recently. Dario came under conviction after hearing the preaching of Dr. Decker who came and spoke at our church. As he was leaving, he asked Jeremy what he needed to do. It was amazing to see God at work as Dario accepted Christ on the sidewalk outside of the church. There were people all around talking about whatever, but all Jeremy could hear was Dario asking Christ to come and save him. Praise the Lord!

The evangelistic house meeting at the Matano home was cancelled. Continue to pray as this month there is a meeting planned for the house of Ellie and Gustavo. This young couple is very excited about sharing their faith. They continue to bring visitors to the church. Pray that there will be a good group of unsaved people at their home as we present the plan of salvation.

Greek class has gotten off to an amazing start. There has been a high of 26 students, which we expect to even out to about 20. Still, this is a great number of students. Please continue to pray as each week gets harder and harder.

Upcoming events:

April 1st (Preaching at San Fernando’s Anniversary)
April 5-8 (Family Retreat)-Jeremy will be speaking three times (one sermon, two workshops)
April 13th (Class for New Believers)
April 14th (Evangelistic Youth Meeting)-Please pray for souls to be saved.
April 15th (Begin new Sunday School classes)
April 16-20 (Music Conference with Frank Garlock)
April 21st (Evangelistic house meeting at Ellie and Gustavo’s home)
April 27th (Deacons meeting)
April 28th (Inauguration of Villa de Mayo)-Please pray that all is in order for this special event.

As you can see, there is a lot to be praying about. It was amazing to see God answer our prayers together this last month. Shall we not expect the same for this coming month? We sense the grace of God like never before. He continues to give strength as we serve Him.

Before we forget, thank you for praying for our baby Joshua. His jaundice has cleared up! Praise the Lord! He continues to grow and has started smiling at us.

May the Lord find us faithful,
Jeremy, Katie, Ellie, Johnny, and Joshua (Acts 20:24)
